The ultimate purpose of MORe is to be a source of hope and healing by improving conditions on planet earth. We see a direct systems-based correlation and causation between the health of the planet, the health of organizations, and the health of employees. We contribute to this purpose from the inside out; by improving employee working conditions we drive better organizational success, by improving organizational success (and influencing management thinking) we create a better world for all. This win-win-win way of thinking benefits all involved by creating a rising tide.

MORe is driven by extensive research, decades of empirical observation, and an insatiable passion to improve workplace experiences, organizational performance, and the world at large. Our services are not best-practices, i.e., what everyone else is already doing, they are next-practices representing an entirely new way of thinking and practicing management and organization. Clients of MORe must be open minded, willing, and able to embrace entirely new ways seeing the world by admitting that what got them here, won’t get them there.

“The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it’s acting with yesterday’s logic”

-Peter Drucker

An undeniable reality of most modern organizations is their excessive level of complexity. Years of layering new methods, designs, and technologies on top of old have left them bloated with excess everything. Multiple structural dynamics (tall hierarchies, departmental silos, matrices, etc.), exceedingly prescriptive technologies and processes, and other issues make daily operations and improvement efforts very difficult. Simplicity is a key philosophy of MORe and it is embraced in everything we do, supporting an easier transition to client staff once our work is done and the time comes to hand-off to the newly educated team.

“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler”

-Albert Einstein

Andy Barbeau, Ph.D.

MORe is Andy’s personal passion project. Following 35 years of consulting experience with over 50 organizations, he started MORe to answer the question: is this the best we can do? Taking a holistic, systems-view of managerial and organizational methods, he seeks to be a source of hope and healing by helping organizations see the connection between workplace health (people, process, & technology) and overall performance. Having fully researched the history of how we arrived at this moment, he is now fully dedicated to offering entirely new ways of understanding management and organization that heal and align the entire organization and achieve resilience and sustainability against future change. MORe is the vehicle to bring these perspectives to life, help solve a global problem, and improve the human experience all while driving better organizational performance.
